Private Label Lubricant Packaging & Label Design

The part of your product the customer actually touches.

ARI OIL private label bottles in multiple sizes with finished label artwork

Nobody Buys Viscosity. They Buy a Bottle.

Your formulation decides whether the customer comes back. Your packaging decides whether they pick it up in the first place. We handle both, and this page is about the second one.

Closure

Screw cap is standard. An induction seal costs a fraction of a cent and stops the two complaints that damage a new brand fastest: leakage in transit, and the accusation that the bottle was previously opened. On brake fluid and coolant it is not optional — moisture ingress ruins the product.

Bottle wall thickness

The cheapest bottle available is almost always a mistake. Thin-wall bottles deform under pallet load in hot warehouses and split at the handle when a customer lifts a 4 L by one hand. The saving is measured in cents, the damage in returned pallets.

Carton and pallet

Carton count and pallet configuration are specified before production, not after. You get the figures — units per carton, cartons per layer, layers per pallet, pallet weight — so your warehouse and your freight quote are built on real numbers rather than estimates.

In-House Design

We Draw It. You Approve It. Then It Prints.

Our design team sits in the same building as the filling line, which means the person drawing your label knows how it will behave wrapped around that specific bottle. Artwork is not outsourced and not left to you.

Starting from a brand

We work to your existing guidelines — colours, typography, logo lockups — and adapt them to bottle geometry, carton faces and pallet labels.

Starting from nothing

Name, mark, colour system and a full range identity. Several of our customers arrived with an idea and a market, nothing else.

Market compliance

Required hazard statements, language requirements and mandatory declarations for your destination go into the artwork before it prints, not after customs asks.

Approval
  1. Brief
  2. Concepts
  3. Digital proof
  4. Printed proof
  5. Print

Nothing is printed until you have signed off. On larger runs we produce a physical printed proof on the actual substrate, because a colour that looks right on a screen and a colour that looks right on a shrink sleeve are not reliably the same colour.

One Thing Worth Getting Right Early

Shelf differentiation is easier to build at the start than to retrofit. Once your bottle is in a distributor's warehouse and on a workshop shelf, changing its shape means writing off tooling, inventory and recognition simultaneously. Spend the extra conversation now on bottle choice and label type — it is the cheapest decision on this page and the most expensive one to reverse.

FAQ

Packaging Questions

01. Can I use my own bottle design?

If you have tooling, yes. If you want bespoke tooling made, that is a separate cost and lead time we quote honestly rather than folding into a unit price. Most customers start from our existing bottle range and differentiate through label and colour, which achieves ninety percent of the shelf effect at a fraction of the cost.

02. Who pays for artwork?

Design is part of the private label service for orders at commercial volume. Extensive brand identity development from scratch is discussed separately before we start.

03. Can different products share one design system?

They should. A range that reads as a range sells better than eight bottles that look unrelated. We build a colour and layout system across the products you launch with, so adding a ninth later is straightforward.

04. What if my market changes its labelling rules?

Artwork files stay on record and updates are made without redrawing from scratch. Tell us when a rule changes and we revise the next print run.
