ARI Petrol Kimya Endüstri ve Tic. A.Ş. began producing lubricants in 1974 and has been doing the same thing ever since — blending base oil and additives into finished products that carry someone else's name. From our facility in Tuzla, Istanbul, we manufacture engine oils, transmission and gear oils, hydraulic and industrial oils, greases, antifreeze and brake fluids for distributors, importers and brand owners across more than 60 countries. We are a manufacturer, not a retailer. We do not compete with the customers we produce for.

A lubricant sold in West Africa is not the lubricant sold in the Balkans. Fuel quality, ambient temperature, engine parc and price expectation all change the formula — and we build to those conditions rather than to a fixed catalogue.

Turkey sits between the base oil refineries of the region and the markets that consume them, and Istanbul sits on the shipping lanes that connect the two. From our plant in Tuzla we load containers for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Caucasus and Central Asia — finished and labelled, in bulk, or as unlabelled stock for customers who fill locally.

A Long Way from One Blending Tank
1974
Production begins
ARI Petrol Kimya starts blending lubricants in Istanbul as a family business.
1990s
Range expands
Industrial oils, greases and specialty fluids are added alongside automotive lubricants.
